Who would like to help fill a gap in the market?
Unbelievable but true: Although colour selection today regularly takes place in RGB or CIELAB, there are no colour samples for this that meet the high accuracy requirements of the industry.
- Lacquer fan with ΔECMC<0.7 cover the entire colour space available in each case in systematic steps (e.g. 15 steps RGB)
- Lab colour definition according to the usual standard conditions (e.g. illuminant, observer angle, RGB->Lab via sRGB profile etc.)
- RGB, Hex, CMYK, Lab, HLC colour values under each colour field
As the colour models are public domain, so are the compartments. We do not want to bring out the umpteenth "special" colour system, but the practical "colour folding rule" for everyone. The challenge: Approximately 6000 colours have to be formulated according to Lab specifications. This can only be done on a large scale. Cooperation in any form is welcome, e.g.
