The HLC Colour Atlas XL is online
proof GmbH has published a free online database that shows the HLC Colour Atlas XL for numerous gamuts. For each colour, you can immediately see the RGB and CMYK colour values of the selected output situations in a mouse-over field. You can choose from a myriad of output variants in RGB and CMYK.
The whole thing not only creates a perfect overview of the limits of the different output methods, the CIELAB colour space and the descriptive HLC coordinates. On top of that, it is practical for work due to the RGB and CMYK colour values displayed onthefly. Of course, it would be nice to have a link to our online colour database ("which HKS or Brillux colour is this?"), the compilation of colour sets, harmony calculations (counter colours, gradations), 3D display, etc. ... dreams of the future, we wait. ... It's the future, let's wait and see, the beginning of an online implementation of the HLC Colour Atlas has been made.
Update 30.03.2020: In addition to a greater clarity of the controls, each selected colour tone can now be exported as an ase or cxf file for direct transfer to user programs.
