European Coatings Show
and Paint, Finishing, Facade 2019
Two important colour-related trade fairs took place almost simultaneously at the end of March: the „European Coatings Show“ (ECS) in Nuremberg and the „Farbe, Ausbau und Fassade (FAF)“ in Cologne. We were on the road at both trade fairs.
At the ECS, pigment rather than colour manufacturers were represented, and here the focus was strongly on the topic of colour formulation. In a meeting with the formulation software manufacturer and association member MatchMyColor, the focus was on possibilities and concrete plans for closer cooperation.
Almost all the major paint manufacturers were represented at the FAF, where we presented the HLC Colour Atlas and the idea of „free colour“.
Important discussion partners in Nuremberg and Cologne were also several mixing plant manufacturers to whom we now provide our exact basic spectral data for 13000 CIELAB shades.
