"The Color Atlas by Archroma represents a true labour of love, one born from a belief that we can capture as much of the colour spectrum as possible for our customers. The idea is to offer you options you've never even dreamed of, and the ultimate goal is to deliver your final choice with unparalleled accuracy, no matter the application."
The Swiss chemical company Archroma presents a colour atlas with very high standards. It can be ordered in book form or as individual colour cards. The 4320 individual colour shades are produced with an accuracy of DeltaE<0.5; the respective spectral curve is also printed on each colour card.
The high standards, the high-quality appearance and the modern look are also reflected in the prices: the 6-volume atlas is priced at 10495 US$, the compact version with 1×1-inch chips at 2495 US$, the single card at 16 US$.
This probably best existing colour atlas is more practical than competing products (RAL Design, NCS, Munsell) thanks to recipes and spectral curves. Unfortunately, however, this is also a manufacturer-specific colour collection without direct interlocking with the computer world. Although the RGB values are given for the colours, the colour tones are not defined from the beginning in a mathematical-perceptual model, which would have had great advantages.

Another company that is clever enough to simply print all possible colour mixes, slap a number underneath and charge $ 10000 for it.
One might as well start printing money...
Can someone explain to me the practical use of this alta or why I should invest in it as an advertising production when I already have all kinds of fans/books of RAL, Pantone, HKS or DCS?
I can then determine the spectral data myself with the available measurement technology...
Greetings
Jens
