Matthias Betz, operator of the renowned Proof GmbH in Tübingen and expert for colour management, proof, standard light and softproof, writes about the Pantone Plus system in his blog:
"Since 2010, there has been chaos in the Pantone Plus colour portfolio, which will not be improved by the new fan generation. There are currently three Pantone Plus compartments in parallel, all of which contain different numbers of colours, although this is not communicated transparently anywhere by Pantone. The same applies to Pantone product partners such as Adobe: hardly any graphic designer knows which Pantone Plus colours are included in his Adobe version, as neither Pantone nor Adobe label their fan and colour generations differently..."
