The Australian software company Argyll, known for its open-source colour management system ArgyllCMS, has launched a measurement and evaluation software for Android smartphones.
The measuring device is connected to the smartphone via USB and can process its spectral or tristimulus values. Numerous colour measuring devices are supported, e.g. the X-Rite Eye-One's, Colormunki, Datacolor Spyder, etc. An IPhone version is not planned due to the lack of a USB connection.
The software costs about 100 EUR in the Google App Store.
