The fact that Pantone is proclaiming its 15-0343 Greenery as the colour of the year 2017 is finding great resonance on the web. After evaluating numerous current trends, the Pantone Color Institute came to this conclusion. The colour stands for freshness and new beginnings, for affirmation of life, youthfulness and naturalness, the currently prevailing trends.
"We definitely didn't expect this Pantone colour of the year 2017!" writes Elle magazine, after pastel, earth or violet tones always won the race in previous years. "frau-shopping.de" didn't like Greenery very much at first, but: "When I saw the promotional video for it on Pantone, I immediately liked the colour better." We can expect to see Greenery in the form of clothing, handbags, nail polish, etc. in the coming year.
Corporate design with the colour of the year
15-0343 is only included in the Pantone textile collection, it can therefore only be implemented with Pantone printing inks via a comparison colour. The Digital Colour Atlas calculates shade 576C as the best Pantone-C comparison colour, which, however, deviates significantly with DeltaE = 5.7. Four-colour printing can reproduce Greenery better: CMYK 40 10 90 0 is at a deviation of 1.00 and hardly distinguishable from the original.

Very funny! When colours become the property of a brand (and don't even stay true to the brand) and when "trends" are "made" into general statements that take some getting used to, half politically correct, half religious. Who actually wants to play along with this?
