It is the Technical Committee 8-13 \u201eColour Gamuts for Output Media\u201c. Its task is: \u201eTo study and recommend methods for computing and communicating colour gamuts for output colour reproduction media.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>The idea to collaborate came up during the work on our latest project: the HLC atlas. This shows the colour spaces of different output situations (FOGRA39, sRGB, Epson x900) as CIELab polar coordinates. For this, the gamuts have to be determined - we create bitmaps from HLC colour fields of the entire CIELAB colour space and cut out the gamuts in Photoshop - maybe our method is even interesting for the CIE?<\/p>\n<p>We hope that our participation in this renowned organisation will provide us with important contacts and a boost for the freieFarbe idea.<\/p>\n<p>The HLC Atlas will soon be available for download on the fF website.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"We have been accepted into a working group of the CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage, publisher of the CIELAB standard).
